High school track season opened training at Laurentian University this week, culminating the season with relays May 15, cities May 22-23, NOSSA (in North Bay) May 29-30 and OFSAA in London Jun 6-8. Last year over 650 student-athletes from seventeen area high schools took part.
Soccer Season Opens
The SDSSAA Soccer season officially kicked off on Monday, April 22nd at the James Jerome turf field. A total of 34 girls and boys teams will participate this year including one of the largest contingents of junior boys teams ever at eight (8) teams. Premier finals are slated for Tue, May 27th, followed by NOSSA May 31-Jun 1, OFSAA Jun 6-8 and second division finals on Mon, Jun 10th.
